Portugal’s location and infrastructure make multimodal transport possible: via a combination of short sea and road transport. The longer transit time is compensated by lower freight costs and CO2 emissions. This affordable, sustainable sea transport leaves from Rotterdam and Zeebrugge to the Portuguese ports of Leixoes (Porto) and Setubal (Lisbon). Another advantage: a greater load capacity by sea than by road: 27 versus 24 tons of freight.
We pass on your shipments to our Portuguese transport partners (that have just unloaded their freight) as return freight every day. That’s how we keep your freight costs low. Under our direction, they transport shipments of up to three pallets to the hub of our local distribution partner Transduo in Recarei (Porto). Shipments consisting of more than three pallets are not delivered via the hub but directly to your customers (door-to-door).
In Portugal, we work with Transduo, our regional partner and distribution specialist. We manage international transport to Portugal, to the Transduo hub in Recarei (Porto). From there, Transduo distributes all your shipments consisting of up to three pallets to every region of Portugal: from the Algarve and the industrial cities to Madeira.
